Still Working Hard

In the Internet Cafe

Hi family!
You're cold? I saw the current temperature is Springville is a comfortable 10 degrees! that's awesome! PLEASE be careful on the roads! Those icicles look like...big chucks of ice. creative description right? lol. Taiwan hasn't been too bad. It's been cool and windy and a tiny drizzle one day. Not too bad. Today is really nice.

My week was busy. I went on two exchanges (with two more this week) that were pretty...stressful. I went with one of the zone leaders (a Taiwanese Elder H) and at the same time, one of the Assistants to the president was supposed to go on exchanges with the zone leaders. I ended up in a three-man companionship with a Zone leader and an AP...they were both focused on me too. it was really lame. tee hee. No, it was good. The second one was with our district leader and the same thing happened where they were supposed to go with the Zone leaders, so I was in ANOTHER tri-panionship with a district leader and a zone leader. This week we have a zone scramble, so one person from each area is going on exchanges to a different area. that's tomorrow. Then friday I get to be in ANOTHER three-man with Elder F and a Zone leader. I'm gonna go insane. absolutely bonkers. lol.

Our Brother Y is doing well and progressing toward is baptismal goal (2/2/13), but, lo and behold, he's not in our area...so we have to pass him over to different Elders. Da Keng has now become a referral area. 95% of the people we contact don't live in Da Keng. We did find a new family for us to teach though!

We had a great lesson with a less-active member (17 years old) in our area and have a follow-up tonight. He doesn't believe in God anymore, but Elder F and I both turned to the same scripture during the lesson (not planned) and shared it with him and were just super bold and blunt and loving. His eyes got a little bit watery and he might actually have kept his commitment this time. Today would be a make-or-break lesson, but the bishop in our ward wants us to keep working with him. He's a super awesome kid, but so far won't keep commitments. We're doing everything we possibly can now. We'll see how it goes.

DongHua

New food of the week: DongHua. It's curdled/fermented tofu juice stuff in sugary water with mix-ins (mine had peanuts). It's super strange but REALLY good! I took a picture, I'll upload it to dropbox and try the other pictures from last week again.

Batman.  Little brother insisted no more Superman!

Well, that's it for this week!
Have a great week! JiaYou! (fuel the fire. Keep it up).

Love you all!
