This
week has just flown by! I can't believe it's Monday again. I've already been in
my new area for 2 weeks.
While
it was flying by, we were pretty productive too. We taught 19 lessons and were
able to give a solid baptismal goal to a super solid investigator. Actually, he
practically gave it to himself! Elder W and I had to teach 2 lessons at
the same time and when I was with this guy (his English name is
"Arenas") he said "I hope I can be baptized in the middle of
October; maybe the 18th or 19th if possible." Yeah, we're shooting for the
18th. He's been taught everything, he just needs to come to church a couple
times and he's good to go!
The
same day we gave him the goal, we had a Zone Conference in JiaYi (the area for
my zone leaders when I was in my last area). I got to see the missionaries from
DouLiu and some others I haven't seen in a while (none from my MTC district
though). That was really fun and at night the sisters here had a baptism. Her (the new member)
story is really cool; to sum it up, she's from Indonesia, speaks English, met
an RM on facebook and he taught her a lot of the lessons. He gave TaiBei her
info, but she ended up moving here and saw Elder W in a 7/11 and asked
him if he was an Elder. They talked and she gave him her phone number and then
the Sisters called her and met and she's super golden. Anyway, Elder W
baptized her and I was one of the witnesses, and then on yesterday I confirmed
her in Sacrament Meeting. She's moving back to Indonesia today because of Visa
issues. Hopefully she'll be back soon!
I
guess I summed up this week for the most part. Everything is going great and
I'm super happy to be here doing what I'm doing. :) This gospel is perfect and
it is true and the world needs it.
