Hey everyone! Happy New Year! I can't believe 2014 is here!
It was so great to see everyone during my skype call last
week! Thanks for talking with me! I miss all of you, but hey, I'll be there
next year!
Well, as you know, I'm in a new area now. I haven't had a
chance to take lots of pictures yet, but maybe next week ;) It's a lot
different here. It's a lot more rural. The main part of the area in a decent
sized city, but there's a LOT less people in it. Our secondary area is where
the church is and it's a quiet town. It reminds me of Cleveland (he means Cleveland, Utah). It's really
cold here actually. I've put on my jacket and we do all our studies in the
bedroom where the space heater is. It's the smallest room in the apartment, so
it gets 'warm' the fastest. Our apartment's hot water doesn't work very well,
so when we shower we have to mess with all the faucets, manually ignite the
water heater (sometimes, but I mostly fixed that) and leave the kitchen water
on, but then the water pressure in the shower is almost a trickle. The water
here is SUPER dirty too. we have to clean the faucet heads every other day
because dirt clogs them. so yeah...but hey! It's fun experience! It's a lot
different. On the bright side, WE GET TO ATTEND THE TEMPLE in this area! it's
close enough that we will get to go every once in a while. Not sure when the next
trip is, but I'm STOKED for it!
My companion, Elder Z, is from
Argentina. He started learning English and Chinese at the same time in the MTC
and is super funny! We use English to communicate. He definitely makes NanTou
special! :) All the members and missionaries love him. He's got a good heart
and is super funny and does things in a simple, direct way.
We've got 3 investigators with baptism goals (we gave one to
a new investigator last night!), and they seem alright! Wish them luck!
I love you all! thanks for being awesome! Have a great New
Year full of fun, food, and FIREWORKS (legal or not! jk, don't be
illegal).

P.S. Shake my Vanilla!
| Chris' new bike. His "broke" last week. Yes, it's a girl's bike, but he said he'll paint it red and black and that he loves it! |
